Foot Impression Foam

The Foot foam is used in large quantities in through out Orthotic Industry.

A rigid closed cell structure Foot impression foam is used by podiatrists for making impressions of patient's feet. This product is sold to distributors of orthopaedic footwear and custom out houses.

Our foot impression foam is easily compressible foam, engineered for accurate orthotic, podiatric and prosthetic modelling.

It accurately captures and reproduces the plantar surface of patient’s foot in very little time. Medically accepted alternative to plaster casting our foam is preferred for its ease of handling, durability, cleanliness and consistency of quality.

Patients with foot disorders need to use custom made footwear to relieve their pains such as heel pain, back pain etc.

This foam is used for taking foot impression of such patients. Further, Orthopaedic Foot Impression Foam offered by us is available in different sizes and specifications to meet with the exact requirement of clients.

Available sizes:

This foam is available in 10 -12 kgs/m3 Density and is custom cut to meet the customer's needs.

It can be packaged in bulk cases or kits containing 2 pieces of foam each.

The size of each piece is 35 X 15 X 5 cms.

Instructions for taking your impressions in the foam box:

  • Sit on the edge of a chair. Rest your right foot on the foam at a 90o angle to get the alignment set before taking the impression. At no time should you stand up!
  • Sit with your back straight and your knee vertical over the foot (laterally). Your foot should be pointed straight ahead (parallel to the thigh).
  • To take the impression of the right foot have someone place their right hand on top of your right knee and cup their left hand over the top of the forefoot.
  • Simultaneously push the foot into the foam approximately 1 ½” to 2” deep. Push the forefoot and heel to the same depth.
  • Push the toes down, one at a time, to the level of the rest of the foot.
  • Remove your foot from the box by lifting your heel first.
  • The impression should look like this. All of the points above should be at the same depth in the box.
  • Repeat the process for the left foot (using opposite hand positions).
